Speaking

I am giving a testimony in church tomorrow.
I will be sharing on how friendship and a person never giving up on me got me through my darkest days during my depression years ago.
I kept feeling this poke from God telling me to talk to my pastor and to give this testimony. So one Sunday when he was preaching he asked what was the greatest gift you ever received it was like God had given me this extra big nudge to talk to the pastor.
I did and now tomorrow I am speaking at the two services. As the time gets closer the idea does not seem as good.LOLOL!!! I think it is called nerves.
My point will be,no matter how frustrated we get with someone we must remember that there is a good person trying to get out.We may have a child, spouse, parent or friend who is making poor choices, but if we keep supporting and praying for them and they work at their problem some day we will again see the positive effects of it.
I just hope and pray my mouth and mind will work together and I do not shake to bad from nerves.Sometime I just hate those pokes from God,but he does have a reason for this.

God Bless all of you,
Mr.Brian

******** It went very well.God kept me calm and I was able to say what I wanted to.And I know it was ment to be because after the service I has a few people tell me how they or others also battled depression too.If my talks made a differance for one or two others it is all worth it.
See God did have a plan.**************

Need advice

It is my hope some of you may have some great suggestions for me on this subject.
Seems I deal with it more and more at work and do not know how to reply always.Sorry to say at times I join in,but have been working very hard at not joining in.
I am talking about people with negative attitudes.Ones who back stab, and always have a complaint. When i suggest that they take it to the boss I always hear a "No she will not do anything anyway".I respond by saying..."Well how can they if you do not tell them"?
Uggg it almost drains me some days.
Sooooo how do you handle these kind of co-workers??? Any suggestions would be helpful.
And no I cannot just tell em to shut up.That is not the way a lead mentor does things.
Thanks,
Mr.Brian

A thought for the day

Need I say more?

Baby it's cold out there.

It is 6:00 p.m. and already -7 degrees with a wind chill of -25 degrees. Calling for a -20 to -25 degrees tonight. That is temp not wind chill.
A good night to stay by the heater. A day like this would be a great time for a fire place.
So how is the weather where you are??????If you want tell us the state and weather, maybe I'll head your way for a few days.
I love the snow just not the below zero temps.
Oh well I may as well accept it because I can not change it and I have no plans of moving. It is to warm up by the weekend so there is hope in sight.

Time of year.

As I have shared in the past I often struggle with depression this time of year. And again this year is no exception.I am happy it is not as bad as in the past, but I still have that feeling of pressure inside of me.That feeling of frustration and just wanting to bury your head under a pillow and forget the world. The feeling of wanting to spend all you time in bed and shut out everyone around you.
However I have learned that does not work. You make yourself do things. You put on that happy front and you make yourself cheerful. And after some time with the help of higher powers you see a glimmer of light. You know better days are ahead. You are thankful for friends who encourage you, pray for and with you.You look around and soon see so many have bigger hurts and pains to bare then you do.So you hold your head up high and you say this too shall pass. And it does.
In a few weeks I will be sharing in church my journey through my struggles and the special gift I received of a friend who never gave up.
A lesson I try (not always easy)to follow.Knowing that despite all the bad we may see in a person some where deep inside a good person is trying to get out.
So please remember you may have a friend, child, spouse, or parent who has a problem that may hurt us,but they are also hurting and there is that good person trying to come out and be a happy person free of what ever their problem is.
I have come to decide even with my dads drinking, there still is a great man ,but he has problems he has yet to address.
May you be as blessed as I have been.
Mr.Brian

Marley and Me

I just got home from seeing this movie.
If you are a dog lover like me you will enjoy the movie.I think anyone can relate to some of the things this dog has done in the movie.
I will not spoil any of it for you but to only say be prepared to laugh and cry.
There are a very few parts that may not be kid friendly, but very short parts.I think it was child friendly,as I saw many many kids their with the mom's and dad's.
On a scale of 1-5 I would give it a 4 1/2.
Please let me know if any of you have seen it, I would enjoy hearing what you thought.
